With a strong commitment to safety and service, Trevor and his team look out for the Wyndham Vale community.

In 2024, the Brigade was a recipient of the Manor Lakes Community Fund.

What do you do for the community?
The Wyndham Vale Fire Brigade is a 100% volunteer fire service that provides fire and rescue emergency response to Wyndham Vale and surrounding suburbs.

We also deliver community education around fire safety, along with various other services to support the local community.

Magda, an English teacher, and Navineesh, in IT, are living in Hawthorn and were looking to find a place that would better suit them long term.

Navineesh moved from Malaysia 10 years earlier and has been living in Hawthorn and Glen Iris.

Magda, originally from Poland, came to Australia via Malaysia where she was living and working until making the move south.

“I've lived here on my own for about a year and then we got married and Magda moved from Malaysia to Australia.”

David Bishop-Worn is the President of the Werribee Giants Baseball Club.

It’s volunteer-run and offers locals a chance to experience the USA’s ‘national pastime’ in the heart of Werribee. The club was a recipient of the 2024 Manor Lakes Community Fund.

What does Werribee Giants Baseball Club do for the community?

Our club is entirely volunteer-run and gives people in Werribee the opportunity to try a different sport and become part of a supportive, active community.

After five years in Cowes on Phillip Island Tracey and Brian decided they were ready for a new chapter, one that would offer them more convenience, modern amenities, and a break from neighbouring Airbnbs.

Their search led them to Manor Lakes and a new home that’s closer to public transport, shopping, the footy and family.

Tracey and Brian had lived in Pakenham, a suburb to the east of Melbourne that’s developing as the city grows.

“It just got too busy,” Tracey explains.

In Victoria’s Western Region Football League, no name is more notable than Manor Lakes Storm—just ask Shane White, who not only co-founded Manor Lakes Football and Netball Club but has served as its President for seven years. During this time, he has also served as coach, trainer, umpire, and Auskick coordinator for the entirety of the club’s decade long lifespan.
