Weekends at Manor Lakes, our top 3 family outings
Wondering how to entertain the family on the weekend? Here are our top 3 outings things for the whole family to enjoy in and around Manor Lakes, all within a 20-minute drive from the estate.
Shadowfax Winery
For a perfect Sunday lunch the whole family will enjoy, head to the acclaimed Shadowfax Winery, just a 20-minute drive from Manor Lakes.
Established in 1998 and located within the award-winning winery’s Cellar Door, Shadowfax’s rustic-style restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a superb menu of Italian-inspired, wine-friendly food. Resident chef, Ben D’Arcy, is renowned for his love of wood fired cooking, using only the finest and freshest local produce.
In winter grab a table near the indoor fireplace, or relax in the outdoor area during the warmer months and enjoy live music every Saturday and Sunday, while the kids enjoy running around and making the most of the picturesque grounds.

Werribee Park & Mansion
If you are looking for open space to let the kids explore, then Werribee Park is definitely for you. With over 10 hectares of beautiful formal gardens and open space parkland they can venture round for free, this historic location is sure to impress.
A highlight of any visit is Werribee Mansion. Built in the late 19th century and one of Victoria’s most beautiful examples of Italianate architecture, the Mansion is open to the public for a small admission fee.
And if you’re up for it, head to the Mansion at night to experience the Haunted Tour to hear the fascinating (and spooky) stories about the founding family. Make sure you have your wits about you as the roaming theatrical performance will definitely have you asking, “What was that?” as you turn each corner.
